From Deep Purple to Amma: the Amritavarsham sound system is ready to rock!

A huge installation of speakers is unmistakable on either side of the stage. Two more installations tower at the center of the ground. These speakers will ensure that all are able to hear everything "the words, the music, the blissful silence" with crystal clarity.
There are also double cables, double speakers and double mixing boards. Nothing is let to chance as far as the sound goes that will shower Amma's Bhajans over the hundreds of thousands of people coming for Amritavarsham 50.
This is a unique sound system in India. It was used for a concert of Deep Purple in Bangalore some months ago, and it comes from the US says Didier Weiss, the technical director, a native from France who has been living in India for the past 10 years. Recently, he designed the sound systems for the auditorium in Amma's Coimbatore Institutes and in the Amritapuri ashram.
"We have done lot of big shows, but nothing like this before. We are stunned at the magnitude of this event", say Michael and Vijay, sound and light specialists from Bangalore.
